Welcome to the SACC Seattle!

We had our opening night/kick off event at the Swedish Consulate on January 31, where the Honorary Consul, Lars Jonsson proudly presented the reopening of the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce in Seattle to our many guests.

The chamber’s main objective is to provide a platform for connecting businesses, universities, nonprofit and governmental organizations in the Pacific Northwest area. The chamber will continue to build on the already strong ties between Sweden and the Pacific Northwest.

In 2010, Seattle hosted Sweden Week, a week long program that highlighted Seattle’s strong Swedish heritage combined with a business program that looked into the future areas of further cooperation between Sweden, Seattle and the Northwest. Sweden Week was a great success and showcased the unlimited opportunities for successful cooperation between the two regions.

Sustainable Development, ICT, Biotech and Software Development are clearly significant areas of common ground between Sweden and the Northwest, and the chamber will continue to focus on these main areas as well as
encouraging relationships in other prominent industries.

We have reestablished SACC Seattle in order to create a forum that, together with the Swedish Consulate, can provide an inspiring venue for interesting meetings, information assistance and camaraderie that leads to members
developing new business opportunities.

To become part of SACC network you can either join as an individual/business or as a corporate member. As a member, you and your organization will not only be invited to compelling and enriching events, but you will also get access to an extensive local, national and international business network. For more information on how to become a member, please see the membership application.

Some of our members are companies: Stellar, Hilleberg the Tentmaker, Ericsson, Meeds EnVironmental Inc,
Paraffine Inc, Getswedish, Magnolia Village Pub, and organizations: Swedish Cultural Center, Nordic Heritage Museum and many individuals representing law offices, catering, financial advisors, real estate, investing companies, sales, sustainability companies, universities, schools, artists, media, web design, software, interior design etc. We know many more are coming and we are looking forward great network opportunities and many interesting programs in the future.

The Interim Board is working on nominations for the Future Board that we will select at the annual meeting in April. If you are interested, please contact our Interim President Petra Hilleberg 425 883 0101 or send an e-mail to:
