Title: Startup Advisor | Coach | Project Manager
Tina Bergman is a skilled organizer, coordinator, and relationship builder with experience advising start-ups in both the US, coaching start-ups in Seattle, and Sweden. As a Business Start-Up Advisor for the Public Employment Service, one of the Swedish government agencies, she coached potential new business owners, analyzed business plans, finalized decisions on federal start-up funding, and tracked new businesses. Previously she held a position as an Employment Officer for the same government agency. Her areas of expertise include designing and giving classes to groups of job seekers, coaching jobseekers, and assisting employers to recruit suitable employees. Earlier in her career, Ms. Bergman has been the Project Manager for large scale events, for example a half-marathon race between Sweden and Denmark that drew about 8,000 international runners, and a nationwide project for the Swedish Track & Field Association in conjunction with the World Championships in Gothenburg. Planning, and coordinating projects, paying attention to details without losing track of the big picture, are definitely among her strengths. Ms. Bergman holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Seattle University. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Lund University, Sweden, and a BS in Business Administration and Economics from Uppsala University, Sweden. Ms. Bergman is a former elite long distance runner, and still enjoys running, biking, and healthy living. She is regularly engaged as a running coach, helping others to reach their running and fitness goals.
