SACC-Seattle will hold its first Sunday afternoon event, from 4 to 6 p.m. on July 24, at Bluewater Organic Distilling in Everett. Last year’s visit to the distillery was very popular, and we hope that a Sunday event will allow even more members to attend without having to brave weekday rush-hour traffic.
Owners John and Jessica Lundin will provide a tour of the production facilities and join us in the new Cocktail Bar for samples of the spirits. Cocktails made with Bluewater’s award-winning vodkas and gin will be available from the cash bar. Light appetizers will be served. Bottles to take home will also be available for purchase in Bluewater’s retail store. Bluewater promises us a tasting of “a very special barrel of Akvavit back from the Arctic.”
Bluewater is located on the waterfront in Everett, and John reports that there is a very good farmers’ market adjacent to the distillery from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays. There are also restaurants nearby if anyone wants to have dinner in Everett after the tasting event.
Cost: Free. Cash bar for cocktails.
