Welcome to this new event where we focus on Nordic small business entrepreneurs in the Seattle area. Our inspiring panelists will share their incredible journeys from startup to running businesses in the State of Washington. You will be guided through the evening by our great moderator Petra Hilleberg who is the CEO of Hilleberg the Tentmaker. During the event there will be a chance to ask all your questions to our panelist and moderator.

Panel Speakers:
Kristiina Hiukka
Leadership Coach, Honorary Consul of Finland

Kristiina brings a life time of experience in consulting, coaching, facilitating and assessments to her clients. She is an enthusiastic student of inclusive leadership, organizational culture, teams and the human element in innovation and loves to share what she is learning.

She believes that the best leadership is based on diversity of thought, and a balanced mix of positivity and productivity. Kristiina founded and led two innovation summits (Women in Innovation Summit and Converge@Seattle Pacific Northwest Innovation Summit) that convened business leaders, legislators, innovators, entrepreneurs and experts to explore opportunities to transform the ways we live and work. She is currently working to bring the Nordic Innovation Summit 2019 to the Nordic Museum in Seattle. Kristiina teaches international business courses at the University of Washington Bothell Business School as an Adjunct Professor.

A native of Finland, Kristiina lives in Seattle and serves as Honorary Consul of Finland for the State of Washington. She also serves on the boards of the Rainier Club, Nordic Museum and Scandinavian Department at the University of Washington. Kristiina has authored two books and coached executives and teams in North America and Europe since she earned her professional coaching credentials from The Coaches Training Institute and ICF (PCC) in 2000. Her M.A. is from University of Jyväskylä, Finland, where she also began her career in business leader development. She is a member of the International Coach Federation and the Consular Association of Seattle.

Monica Langfeldt
Founder & Lawyer – Langfeldt Law, PLLC

Monica was born and raised in Oslo, Norway. She came to the United States on a track scholarship, and ran track for 4 years while obtaining her B.S. in Finance and Economics. After college she pursued a law degree. Prior to moving to Seattle in 2004, she practiced law in New York City. One she arrived in Seattle, she spent approximately 10 years as a partner in some of Seattle’s well know law firms before starting her own firm, Langfeldt Law, PLLC, in 2013.

Langfeldt Law, PLLC provides business and tax counsel. As a business lawyer, Monica provides legal counsel to start-ups and small to mid-size businesses in all stages of their life cycle, from incorporation, ongoing general counsel services and ultimate winding down. Guidance includes choice of entity decisions, drafting of governance documents, including articles of incorporation, shareholder agreements, bylaws, operating agreements and various contractual agreements as necessary.

Monica’s tax practice involves assisting taxpayers with foreign disclosures (OVDP/Streamlined), reporting requirements for US persons living both abroad as well as US persons with foreign assets or foreign inheritance. In addition, Monica provides immigration and expatriation tax counsel and planning. She also assists taxpayers with tax audits at the IRS appeals level.

Martin Lundgren
Founder & President –

Martin Lundgren is the president and founder of Northern Lights Advisors, Inc. where he delivers financial planning services and advice to individual clients. The firm was set up late 2013 at the same time Martin and his wife moved to Seattle.

Services offered include planning for: retirement, company stock options, estate planning, college funding, social security claiming strategies, medicare, cash flow analysis, asset allocation and manager selection, and portfolio management.

He has previously served as a Client Relationship Director for a private wealth management service provider, advising wealth managers with over $10 billion under management. He was also responsible for large client relationships, investments, and asset allocation at a large multi-family office. Mr Lundgren was also a project manager and business analyst in the high net worth wealth management industry. Prior to joining the world of wealth management, Martin worked in the telecom and IT industries.

Martin holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is an active member in the CFA society’s local chapter. Additionally, he holds a Certificate in Investment Performance Measurements (CIPM), an expert investment performance calculations designation. Lastly, he is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
