Thank you to all the members who joined us for our Annual Meeting! We were fortunate enough to be hosted by the generous Hotel Andra, who gave a tour of the hotel and presented a delightful spread of snacks and beverages. Members met and mingled in the hotel’s chic event space, before the SACC-Seattle Board presented results for 2017, and the Board for 2018 was formally elected. In 2018 Martin Lundgren and Petra Hilleberg will continue to serve as President and Vice President respectively. Other new and current Board Members are, among others: Rebecka Churchill (Marketing Director & SACC-USA Liaison), Anna Assarsson (Secretary), Tor Jernudd (Treasurer), Tina Bergman (Member at Large), Rebecka Isaksson (Membership & Event Director) and Rikard Lind (Business Development Director). Join us for the SACC-Seattle Annual Meeting hosted by our newest Corporate Member, Hotel Andra, held on Thursday February 22nd at 6.30 pm at the hotel's location on 2000 4th Ave, Seattle, WA 98121. Ändra will give a brief presentation on the hotel's operations before the SACC-Seattle Board present results for 2017.

A big, heartfelt thanks to all 72 of you who attended last night's Glögg & Meatballs event with Lucia procession at the Swedish Consulate in Kirkland. We were very happy to see so many of you there for an evening of lovely singing, great Swedish food and even better company. Special thanks to Chef Malin Jonsson for making our delicious julbord, to the SWEA Choir for the beautiful singing, to author Anna Brones who presented and signed her book Fika, and to the Consulate of Sweden Seattle for providing such a welcoming space for us to gather in. We look forward to seeing you all at our events in 2018. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Welcome to our Annual Glögg & Meatballs event with Lucia procession!
The holidays are soon upon us, and what better occasion to celebrate in true Swedish fashion than a traditional Lucia procession at the Consulate of Sweden on December 13th?
Swedish meatballs and traditional glögg will be available, letting you warm up and get in that special Christmas mood on this St. Lucia day. The SWEA women’s choir will perform Christmas songs and a Lucia will visit us.
