The new Nordic Museum is open!

What a spectacular time we had last week, celebrating the Grand Opening of the new Nordic Museum here in Seattle! Highlights included the highly anticipated Nordic Innovation Days, including a well-attended Innovation Conference on May 3rd and an exclusive Tech Tour on May 4th, which paid visits to local tech giants such as Amazon and Microsoft. We were also very happy to be present for the ribbon cutting ceremony on May 5th, attended by H.R.H. Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, President Guðni Th. Jóhannesson of Iceland, and H.E. Karin Olofsdotter, Ambassador of Sweden to the United States. Big congrats to our long-standing members and friends at the Nordic Museum!

Welcome to the Nordic Tech and Innovation Conference - presented by Ericsson!

Though the Nordic region represents only 3 percent of Europe's population, the Nordic nations are ranked as global leaders for technology and innovation. Please join the Nordic Museum, Ericsson and participating organizations from all Nordic countries at this one-day conference on Thursday May 3rd from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm at the Nordic Museum's Osberg Hall, featuring keynote talks and panels by tech and innovation luminaries from the Nordic region.

Speakers and participants include Kristin Skogen Lund, CEO Confederation of Norwegian Employers, Fredrik Cassel, General Partner at Creandum and the first external investor in Spotify, Vahé Torossian, CVP, MSFT Western Europe, Niels Røine, EVP Communications, Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports and Dagfinn Høybråten, Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers.

The goal of the conference is to build awareness about innovation and opportunity in the Nordic countries and to lay the groundwork for the development of deeper relationships between the tech and innovation sectors in Seattle and the Nordic region.
